Richwood has struggled so hard to survive the 1000 year flood if 2016. No lives lost, but homes , schools and business's were forever destroyed. With the efforts of many both financially and actual labor hours, Richwood is getting back on her feet, rising out of the flood water, debris and mud! FEMA has funded a new Middle and High School for Richwood, please don't let the building of new schools be snatched out of her bounderies! Keep the Richwood Schools in Rucbwood!

It is morally and ethically wrong for the BOE to steal FEMA money that was to replace the schools we lost in the flood to build a consolidated school across the county 25+ miles away! FEMA's Recovery mission statement is to bring a community back to an economically viable community.
And in this case its an environment that has nurtured successful students for 100 years. Stop consolidation efforts. Rebuild our schools in Richwood.

A local school can make or break a community. My family chose to purchase a retirement home in Richwood because of the history and community involvement of the school. How is a community going to grow with the loss of their local schools. Do not punish Rixhwood because of a natural disaster. Plan for the future Richwood is going to grow.
