Preserve Pawnee Prairie as Horse & Hiking Trails

Please do not allow bicycles on this trail. It is one of the few places left in our area with this type of trail for walking and horseback riding

Horse riders need a safe place to be able to ride with our children and friends. Bicycles are fast and quiet, posing a danger for both bikers and equestrians in combination with a 1200 lb prey animal. There are countless bike trails throughout the Wichita area, please leave us this one (and only) trail for us to enjoy nature and our animals

Please keep Pawnee Prairie safe for horse back riding by not allowing bikes.

Bicycles have numerous parks and trails/paths to ride in. Equestrians have ONE park we are allowed in. It's not a matter of equestrians being selfish, we are happy to share with walkers. But fast bike riders on blind corner trails with horses are not advisable.

Keep the bikes out please!

Please keep the horse trails open. We talk about back to nature and less electronics, but keep eliminating opportunities. Also each horse operation spends at least $100,000 just startup expenses...pickup, horse trailer, horses, vet, upkeep, etc...which is good for the economy.

Please preserve the park bike free for horseback riders.

Please keep PPP as hiking / horse trails only. We drive in from out of town to enjoy riding there. Beautiful place!

I enjoy bikers, but they definitely have enough spaces to bike, please keep Pawnee prairie for horses!!

Do not allow bicyclists.

As a therapeutic riding instructor, I would like to give my clients a safe place to ride outside of an arena. Many of my friends are unable to ride a bicycle and hiking may not be an option either but on horseback they can experience freedom. Keep the trails safe for them.

Pawnee Prarie should be preserved for equestrians and hikers. Bikes can go plenty of other places and pose a threat to the safety of equestrians and themselves on a trail, Esp since many cyclists are unaware of how to approach horses.

I live in winfield ks, my mother, who has ridden at PPP for 35 years, has brought me to PPP since I was a little girl. It has always been a safe place to ride for families. Are you willing to let a child get hurt because you allowed bike riders at PPP when they can go to any other park? Please save this park for equistrians and hikers! Regards, Loryn Utech

Please do not do away with the beautiful horse trails in Sedgwick County's Pawnee Prairie Park. Horses and trail riding is wonderful therapy and also great exercise for people. There are several nice biking trail locations but only one horse trail the county. This brings other people from the state into your county to ride thus bringing more revenue to business's for gas and snacks too. More and more people are getting into trail riding so please preserve this Park for Trail Riding too. Sue Simmons

Please keep the bikes out of the park or at least separated. The donators of the land intended it for equine trail usage...what a travesty for other interests to infringe upon the equine in the park.

We need this for riding horses.

The cyclists will tear it up and litter their blown tubes.

in today's society we need to keep ALL trails open for all users! Without an appreciation of the outdoors, our society is doomed!
