Preserve Pawnee Prairie as Horse & Hiking Trails

There are many places bicyclists can ride safely, but few equestrians can.

Keep the bike restrictions in the park as is, but a path connecting from the parking lot to the single track bike trail park would be really nice. Also, better advertising it as equestrian friendly & no bikes would help, as many bikers are unaware of the rules until they actually get into the park.

I agree there are other trails for bikes to ride. More and more are being created, save this one for our four legged friends!!!

I have been riding at PPP for 35 years, my family and I haul from winfield Ks sometimes 2x month. This is the only equistrian park in Wichita, the bicyclists can ride in any park as well as on city streets. While horses and hikers mesh well together, horses and bicyclists do not. With the tight turns and all the blindspots, this can be a deadly situation for both the horse, horse rider and the bicyclist. I agree 100% leve it as is.

The PPP is the only public park where horse riders can feel safe from surprises of fast approaching, around the bend, bicycles. Please, please, please do not open it to bicycles.

To read the history behind this wonderful park is a crying shame that we even have to go through this type of denial for cyclists to not have usage. With all that The City of Wichita has done for cyclists and they feel the need to make this an issue? They need to be banned from this parks' usage and move on down the road for a different place to ride and leave this park out of their choices to ride.

horses and bikes just don't work together. eVEN WELL trained horses freak out when unexpectedly running into a bicycle. Putting them together increases the chances of injury dramatically.

Bicycles and horses do not belong on the same trails, especially ones with the blind spots like Pawnee Prairie. Horse people in the cities deserve a place like this for riding.

Horses and bikes not a good combo....someone will get hurt or killed simple as that. There are to many blind curves for a bike to whiz up on an unsuspecting horse. Either the biker gets kicked or most likely the rider will get tossed. Please keep the park as it was intended..Horses and hikers only.

Pawnee Prairie is a great place to ride horses. Bicycles and horses do not mix well in a wooded setting at all.

Come on folks, we need to get this going and stop the bicycles. Horses and bikes just do not mix well on trails that there are blind spots. Someone is going to get hurt. Bike riders have numberous trails and paths to ride on and horses only have Pawnee Prairie. It was built for equestrians and foot traffic, so please lets keep it that was as the late Irene Plumlee wanted. I'd hate to have someone hurt or killed.

I am a horse rider I want pp to stay our only horse park, not become another bike park!

It is sad that some put their own recreational desires ahead of preserving a wildlife area. 23 parks already have over 60 miles for bicyclist. Keep this one, all of this one, for the horses and hikers. I hope the City of Wichita preserves this gem.

Please do not ruin this horse park with bicycles. A serious danger for everyone involved.

There are many other places for bicyclists. Please save this one place for horseback riders!!!

Please keep the park as a nature reserve for hiking and equestrian use.
