I've ridden these trails since the park opened. Even rode with Mrs. Plumlee when she took our saddle club thru the park. KEEPTHE BICYCLES OUT!

Bicycles are allowed all over Wichita. Horses have one park to ride in.
It is not fun to sit on a spooked horse.
Even well trained horses can spook when they get surprised by a fast moving bike.
The bicyclists don't understand it.

I love my bicycle, and my husband is an avid cyclist, but we agree that Pawnee Prairie Park is not the place for cyclists. Too unsafe for the horses.

Please consider leaving the park "horses only"! This is definitely a safety issue. Horse/rider & bike/rider are both in danger if sharing the same trails.

Please keep this park for horses. Bicycles can go anywhere, while the horses are limited.

Please keep the mountain bikes out of this park. I love walking my dogs in the park. I love seeing the horses - it's a wonderful park for walking and riding horses. There are other placed that mountain bikers can use, but there aren't many places for horses. Please keep this the wonderful resource that it is. Thank you for your consideration.

I hike in the park, with my dogs (on leash.) I have no problem with the horses but there are other places where I walk that allow bikes. The bikes fly by with no regard that they are sharing the path with others. There are plenty of places for bikes but very few for horses. Keep Pawnee prairie park for horses and hikers only!

Horses carried us through history! We all should be able to enjoy the land that God gave us and that without the horse,...we wouldn't have been able to explore! As long as we respect each others enjoyment in this park,....I dont see the issue?

It is the only place in Wichita Kansas where we can ride horses. We love the spend family time out there while riding. Plus there is plenty of trails around Wichita Kansas to ride bikes.

As an avid walker and hiker at Pawnee Prairie Park I feel allowing bicycles access to these areas would be a danger. There are plenty of areas for bicycling - not nearly enough for horses and walking. Bicyclists have already almost run me down and their supposedly not even allowed there.
