We should learn from history and not try to erase it.

This is a *memorial* build by and for the loved ones of the soldiers who died in the battle at Ft. Sanders, there were no graves save one mass one where the dead were buried. This is not a monument marking where the actual battle was. Big difference. Please allow this *memorial* to the fallen to stay. Memory Eternal- we need to remember the fallen. Thank you.

Please leave our history and monuments alone. They are part of our history and it can not be changed by removing them. It is the future we have to worry about and what is going on in the world now!

Keep the marker. It is history and nothing else. We registered voters have a voice. Please listen

These statues/monuments are a learning tool for people. They raise awareness of what was. They don't offend anyone, they just want to take their rage out on something. Don't destroy history or we may end up reliving it, instead educate.

Heritage, not hate. This monument, as well as many others around the country, is in honor of those who died because of the movement. Many families lost lived ones who had nothing to do with the war. They were enlisted because they had to! None the less, I dont agree with prejudice or treating peope badly because they arent the same race. But this is history. It's not harming anyone. At all! Leave it alone!

Aren't there plenty of Union soldiers monuments northward? These monuments were part of the healing process, from the war-

That monument has been there a long time and I far as I know it has never caused any trouble or hurt anyone. It's there for the deceased Soldiers, leave it alone.
