This monument stands in honor of the confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War. Removing it would be worse than removing a headstone from a grave.

I want all civil war monuments to stay. History has a tendency to repeat if we really don't study it.

People don't know real history in today's world because everyone wishes to rewrite it to there on views. Removing any historical monuments only helps those that wish to keep you believing only the way they want you to. This monument only honors the soldiers that fought there that's is all it does.

My family fought on Union side. This is our history-this memorial for the fallen Confederate soldiers hurts nobody. Let them rest in peace. This madness needs to stop. Focus on the future-learn from the past.

This a monument to the dead confederates who died during the battle of Fort Sanders. Removing it would be comparable to removing the Viet Nam memorable in Washington DC. Shameful!

confederate and union soldiers did not hate each other, they respected each others courage. They often stopped to exchange food. This is a battle field marker to honor the fallen. Are we to do away t
with the name Fort Sanders?

This is a *memorial* build by and for the loved ones of the soldiers who died in the battle at Ft. Sanders, there were no graves save one mass one where the dead were buried. This is not a monument marking where the actual battle was. Big difference. Please allow this *memorial* to the fallen to stay. Memory Eternal- we need to remember the fallen. Thank you.

What's next?! If you allow outsiders to take away our monuments, they will try to take away our right to be Christians too! Hold on tight, I think it is going to be a very bumpy ride!
