My late parents built their home on Webster Ave and savage. I rember when the streets in our neighborhood were unpaved,no grocery stores, only neighborhood grocery stores, when military families lived in barracks in the bottom by Love Field, all airline flights came to Love Field. Elm Thickett was a place of pride, respectibility, respectability, and where we looked after one another and helped each other. Elm Thickett is my legacy and my family's legacy. My parents endured so much to provide for me a warm and safe environment. Developers didn't give a damn about the community now that it's close to everything and the property was increased in value, THEY want to take it away. I THINK NOT,not today, not tomorrow. We will fight, trust and believe this.

The City Plan Commission must ensure the residents of Elm Thicket/Northpark are included in the planning.

Keep our Historical Name and landmarks with Ellum Thicket toppers. We still have many descendents who currently still live here and our history must NOT be destroyed. Allocate existing repair monies with no strings attached to our existing neighborhood upon our requests and that must be given to the our neighborhoods in 75209, 75235, 75212, etc., according to the constitution on this last ballot that was passed. Instead of trying to destroy the fabric of our community as a whole; Find out what the existing residents want and need. Stop the bullying! You should not also be able to block the views of your neighbor's existing homes with a wall. Be neighborhood friendly and stop trying to step all over us as if we are not present. This is our home where we live and it's not for investors to just bust in and think they can do what they want. Wrong! We are their boss because this is our neighborhood they want. United we stand! Don't sale any house under 350,000.00 minimum no matter how small the house is; that's only if you must sale for what ever reason. God bless us all
