Please return the fire rings, and encourage local residents to use our county park responsibly. If more clean up is a concern regarding local use we can work together to make that happen. I have always loved going to the beach and seeing my community there, it is precious waterfront access and a beloved place to gather.

Removing the fire areas was a short sighted mistake and needs to be fixed. Just put them back as it was.

This is OUR space and was always friendly and welcoming , it historically placed Lopez and County residents' needs first.

It is so wrong in so many ways to insist that only campers be allowed to enjoy fires at our county park. Many of us do not have a waterfront location where we can enjoy a late afternoon in the off-season. Sure, we could pay 40.00 or so for the privilege of roasting a few marshmallows, but that leaves a lot of people out, and it really isn’t the kind of place we want to be.

Let's have a discussion and the ability for public commentary with the goal of listening to understand the needs of the County Park and Lopez residents that works to create a solution that is better than the current unidirectional and somewhat authoritarian policy.

I have celebrated some of the most important events in my life around these circles, including the night before my wedding, my mothers wedding, her dying process and her memorial. Please keep them available for all these important gatherings!

In the last 40 years it’s being and amazing place to meet with friends and family .while the kids get to enjoy the beach . It’s really sad to hear that they got taken out. Please reconsider and put the bar cue pits back .

Rather than remove the fire rings let’s work together to keep the area safe snd clean. We need outdoor recreation and community year round. Now more than ever. Thank you.

This is a punch below the belt! A blatant disrespect to the lopez locals. Do the right thing and return them.

Locals should have equal access to all parts of the common park areas including beach front access and picnic areas and fire pits and rings.

Lopez islanders deserve to be able to have a recreational fire in an approved firepit at Odlin County park. Please return them so local families have a place to roast their marshmallows too. We miss them!

We've always really enjoyed being able to have fires at Odlin Park, it really brings people together, which in these times is more important than ever!

Restore the fire rings at Odlin County Park’s day use area. We the citizens of San Juan County pay taxes to support our county parks. We should have the privilege of using fire rings in our day use areas.

The fire pits at Odlin Park are valuable to the Lopez Community as a place to gather. Please see that they are restored.
