We need access to Odlin park because is one of the few places as islanders that we have to enjoy as family

This is ridiculous. The fire pits have always been there and for the most part used respectfully. I'm tired of Lopez being designed for tourists and not the people who live here.

The firepits have been there for generations. Time to put them back, and not listen to the rumors that we didn't have them before. I believe that the new caretakers were taken advantage of since they didn't know.

Odlin Park is one of the most accessible parks for residents of Lopez Island, both because it is free and because the distance from the parking lot to the beach is small. Odlin is not a “Day Park” and it makes no sense to allow tourists who are camping to have fires in fire pits but remove the fire pits that locals use.
