Preserve Community Access at Odlin Park

Its a sad day , government at work to save us once again.

Communal gathering around a fire is some of the best nourishment for this precious community spirit that we cherish so much about living on lopez.

This park has been the site of so many local celebrations I can't even count. I have been to weddings, graduations, memorials, and all sorts of celebrations. Keep this park open and available to locals having fires just like the campers do.

Bring back the ability to gather around the warmth of a fire. Keep community strong!

The removal of the firepits at Odlin Park that have been used by Lopezians for decades is utterly disgraceful!! I truly tired of our Home being packaged and sold to TOURISTS...their removal places Tourists' needs above Locals and that just plain STINKS!! To then claim that the removal of the firepits is just following a "longstanding rule" is simply insulting our intelligence!! Shame on you! The mere fact that there has been a practice of using these firepits by Lopezians that has been going on continuously for many decades shows that your contention that there is a "rule" against their use by the local population to be utterly false! Furthermore to utterly disregard the needs of our local population regarding the use of our Island in order to be "nicer" to the Tourists has got to stop! Whether that is the use of these firepits or the use of our own roadways. Our Island is NOT just a commodity for sale to accommodate TOURISTS' USE...it is our Home!! We deserve access to these firepits as a place for locals to enjoy a fire on the beach...the only place on our Island where that is legal. Restore the Odlin Park firepits immeadiately!

Park needs to return to community that supports it.seems like a very arbitrary decision that needs to be reversed.

Odlin Park is a traditional gathering place for locals. Please reconsider!

Please bring back fire pits @Odlin County Park! It's our local county park so us local taxpayers want them back even if we need to put them in ourselves! Please BEFORE summer!

odlin park’s fire pits are welcoming place for our neighbors from other islands. We use them to create bonds with youth baseball teams after the games.

We need community spaces, period. Odlin is the perfect place for outdoor community events and gatherings.

Keep the fire pits just like we kept the canon

Please honor and respect the local families and community. This park is more important for the locals than for the tourists.

Pretty simple request from the taxpayers.

This is wrong on so many levels and can not be allowed to stand. What in the world was anyone thinking.
