Alice Ong is the best Chinese teacher in the PV Peninsula area. I can say that because both my son and daughter have been taught by her and have first knowledge of her abilities and experiences as a teacher. It was unfortunate already that the introductory classes to PV High School was already eliminated. Removing Alice Ong from teaching Chinese classes would further degrade the Chinese language learning offering by the PV School District.

Including Chinese language instruction at all our schools broadens their world view and promotes inclusion and provides a challenging option for our students of all backgrounds. Please continue to provide a strong Chinese language program for all our students.

My son has been learning Chinese for the past two years and I think it would be a travesty to Eliminate any of the Chinese programs from the district. With technology and our relationships with china, the need for more of my child's generation to speak mandarin will only increase. Please reconsider keeping the mandarin program strong as our students are the future of this country.

Alice Ong is the BEST Chinese teacher my son has had, and he's had 4 of them. Ms. Ong inspires kids, finds creative lessons, makes the curriculum relevant, and has the interpersonal skills that help kids develop a great relationship with her! Do not let this great resource go. PVPUSD needs more teachers like her!

Alice Ong is an important asset for our children. It is not just preserving the language program that is important. It is preserving jobs for teachers that love teaching our children and that nurture and prepare them for life. Alice is a special teacher and pvpusd isblucky to have her.
Do not let the good teachers go.

My daughter at RIS loves her class and her teacher. She is very worried about the future of the Chinese classes and losing her teacher.
