Proposed Retirement home Arundel . I am from Perth but visit family in Arundel area frequently and I am horrified that this Blot on your unique landscape is even being considered. Will also pose an adverse effect to number of visitors to Arundel .

Arundel is one of my most favourite places to visit because of its beauty and history. The view from the train station is stunning. It would be sacrilege to blight this fabulous view of the castle and cathedral with what seems like an over high and out of place roofscape.

Far too tall, far too many flats, far to much disruption for Fitzalan Road.

It is deplorable to build a 4-storeyed building, in a so attractive city, with a magnificent castle, river... This construction is going to destroy the panorama of this wonderfull city, very tourist. It's a pity ......

Arundel will literally die if it continues to be populated by the elderly. We need affordable housing for young families.,

Fitzalan Road cannot take any more developments. It already struggles with what has already been built on it. It already has two large retirement developments on the road and there are more in Arundel. The plan also states the number of apartments/ people it will house and the number of parking spaces will be extremeley inadequate. Fitzalan Road already has a big problem with people from the town centre parking in it with no regard for the resident's at all and sometimes extraordinarily badly. Add more retirement housing with not enough parking facilities and it will be even worse for Fitzalan Road. The water table on Fitzalan Road cannot take any more housing either as the sewage system already struggles with the housing already on it, particularly in very rainy weather. There is no affordable housing in Arundel whatsoever. I have recently had to move away from Arundel as in there is no where affordable to rent. Arundel is slowly dying with the lack of youth in the town. It needs young people and young families to bring vibrancy and life to the town.

Surely it's more important to prioritise the young locals who are struggling to find local housing and end up losing valuable support networks? This is just a developer trying to build another pension farm, no doubt with exorbitant 'ground rents' and let's not forget the fiasco with previous developers deciding they can ride roughshod over public rights of way that have been in existence for hundreds of years.

The youngsters who have been born and bred in Arundel need the opportunity to continue to live in this beautiful town.

I feel the building of more flats in Arundel is not what the town needs. We need to encourage a younger population with affordable housing, which will bring a balance to the town for future generations.

I object very strongly to the Renaissance Retirement proposed development on all the grounds listed plus the fact that they will create even more demand on an already totally oversubscribed doctors practice.

Arundel has retirement properties already, we need young people and families, diversity and forward thinking. 45 flats is just crazy - this should not be approved.
