As an AP community member for 15 years the draw of this community is beautiful natural setting and engaging neighbors who are committed to the preservation of our neighborhood. Sadly, the increase in density by changing the zoning has been misrepresented as a way to offer affordable housing. This is not an affordable housing opportunity, which many in AP would be supportive of. Instead, the proposed changes will lead to higher density, increase rents, and more traffic, and our aging infrastructure cannot support these increases!

The roads can’t take more traffic — and if we widen the roads we will all be living on a freeway.
Take a look at Austin, Texas, to see a once-lovely city that has been ruined within 10 years by just this kind of uncontrolled growth.
Arlington Park is great as it is. Whom will this apartment complex benefit? Not the neighborhood! Not the city! Not the citizens!
