Preserve a Historic San Diego Site: North Chapel at Liberty Station NTC

This is a historic building and the new developer needs to understand the buildings relationship to the community and the city of San Diego. A sound decision to save this building can be very beneficial to your development plans.

My wife and I were married at the North Chapel 35 years ago. It is a historical site and should be designated as such. Needs to stay as is.

Please keep thus church a CHURCH! Keep the pews and historic artifacts and atmosphere!

Just came across this article in my Google news feed. I'm devastated! I was married in this chapel in 1974. It was magical, and our marriage has lasted perhaps because of the blessings within. It's a beautiful place outside and in! I knew NTC was no longer part of San Diego and wondered many times about our chapel. We now live in Colorado, since 1981. Please don't allow this desecration, the interior destruction also destroys everything about the outside. It's been deemed a historical place, LEAVE IT ALONE and allow everyone the joy and magic of worshiping there forever.

A place of worship should remain that way. It is not meant to be an event venue in it's off days. Would you ask that of a synagogue, mosque, etc? The military and working class of Point Loma helped build San Diego and have worshiped here for decades. It should be a historic building and preserved for future San Diegans.

The North Chapel is all that's left of what used to be NTC San Diego. It was a place of prayer and comfort for those recruits and sailors who called RTC and NTC home. Don't let this place of prayer become a trendy, hotspot... devoid of what it was intended to be.

Preserve this historic chapel and let our children and others enjoy this beautiful building.

This should absolutely remain as is. There are several venues already available in Liberty Station for events. To convert this space would be criminal.

This chapel is historically protected in it's current state. There are plenty of other places to party. My family members were married her. City of San Diego, do not break another promise to the community.

I went to bootcamp at RTC San Diego in 1978. This church provided me and my fellow recruits respite from the rigors of bootcamp. Plenty of my memories from this base have all been replaced by condos, commercial business, etc. PLEASE NOT THIS ONE!

This is an HISTORIC BUILDING. NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO DO WHAT THEY ARE PLANNING ON DOING. THIS IS GOD'S HOME. LEAVE IT ALONE.

Preserve the chapel! It was the site of many weddings for our local military members, including myself, and is a significant spiritual landmark.

North Chapel is where I was married. Please, please save it!!

Don't let this happen!

I was stationed st NTC 1968-1971. This Church was a House Of Worship for a countless number of our young people just beginning their Naval careers and it must be maintained as such. This can’t be asking too much!
