Preserve a Historic San Diego Site: North Chapel at Liberty Station NTC

Please conserve this chapel for uses such as church services and weddings, charging reasonable fees. We need more such venues but no more restaurants and retail spaces in the historic core of Liberty Station. Please preserve this as a place protected by the people of San Diego instead of controlled by big business.

We were married there 26 years ago.

Please preserve the North Chapel as a dedicated site and not allow it to become commercial. The intent of the taxpayers was to preserve it .

Please preserve the Liberty Station North Chapel as a historical land marked chapel in its present location.

The chapel should remain a chapel. It is historic inside and out and should not be ruined for commerce sake. Just advertise it for weddings and other religious events and people will use it! there are more than enough restaurants in Liberty Station already.

Preserve the beauty of NTC Chapel

I have attended several weddings at this sweet chapel. As a current PL resident (and former Liberty Station resident) I feel we need to keep this bit of the former base in tact! It adds to the charm of the area and reminds us that LS was a full working base. Please save the church!

There is more than enough retail/entertainment space in NTC already. More importantly, the city and Mr. McMillin need to keep to their agreements.

This historic chapel at NTC is one of our few remaining treasurers. Is there any way it can be used such as rental for music or plays or a continuing site for destination weddings. etc. ? There must be a way to create an income without changing the beauty and history of the building.

Developers should stop seeing dollar signs and think about the historical value of old buildings. Liberty Station does not need another mediocre restaurant. Think about the legacy that you're leaving.

I would be very interested in seeing the business / marketing plan for this space. Has any entity approached McMillan or has McMillan proposed this space for development to prospective clients? As the article mentioned, numerous other spaces available within Liberty Station. How about offering the space for military funerals / retirements and charging a much more reasonable fee (donation?). That may garner more use of the space. Any retail integration will more than likely entail modifying the building beyond its original design purpose.

Please preserve the beautiful chapel as is!

So much will be lost and so little will be gained by irreversibly, and I will add negatively, altering the purpose and appearance of the North Chapel. The principles and the sense of honesty and integrity guiding the McMillan Corporation are now on public display. I hope they act at the highest levels.

This historic building should be maintained for public use. A more reasonable rental fee and promotion would increase its use If a restaurant is out there I will encourage my fellow Point Lomanscto boycott it.

There is only one chapel in Liberty Station and many restaurants. Please keep the chapel a chapel.
