The feedback I have received from families affected by this campaign confirms that the depiction of premature infants in this advertisement is deeply harmful to those who have navigated the neonatal intensive care unit. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the leadership at TheTruth.com to explain the pain their marketing strategy has caused our community.

I am the proud father of a 25 week 1lb 9oz daughter that spent 91 days in the NICU fighting for her life. I just saw a commercial with preemies and smoking and was offended to the highest degree. What mother would do this commercial ? NONE! They are obviously an actor and this is sick and I am so disgusted. The commercials creator obviously never experienced this for themselves. Btw, my daughter has made a full recovery and is beautiful, I can't take her anywhere without having someone tell me how amazing she is, if I tell them she was a 1lber, they look at me in disbelief. These commercials need to stop I so offended!!!!!
This is just gross. Who thought this was a good idea? My daughter is a preemie survivor and she is way tougher than this cartoon garbage.
I LITERALLY CRIED WHEN I SAW THIS. It is so heartless to use fragile babies for a shock campaign. My preemie had so many health issues and this feels like a punch in the gut.
My son was born at 28 weeks and spent months in the NICU. Watching this commercial makes me want to throw my tv out the window. It is cruel and makes fun of actual human suffering. Shame on them.
Get this garbage off the air. Disgusting.

I am a Father of identical twin Boys. My Wife gave birth at 32 weeks 3 months ago today. We both went to all appointments minimum 2 to 3 times a week with all the different types of Doctors required with the complications of twins especially identical twins sharing 1 placenta. My Wife is very healthy and did NOTHING wrong to cause an early birth. We both don't consume any drugs legal or illegal. Nor do we consume any alcohol.1 twin has made it home a month ago and the other very soon. Many complications have happened but our faith first God and the gifts he has given to all the medical staff. So as soon as our other Son gets home our worries will be well worth it!
