Please stop scandalizing Our Catholic Church! Do not bow down to the god of popularity by giving this undeserved Catholic honor to Mr. Biden. He does not follow the teachings of The Catholic Church, instead, he brings Her Scandal, and in giving him this honor, YOU SCANDALIZE US TOO!!

Joe Biden (CINO) should not be presented with an award 'for illustrating the ideals of the Church" when he flaunts those ideals with his politically motivated pro choice stance and gay marriage support.

My prayers in support of Bishop Rhodes in his condemnation of Notre Dame's award of the Laetare Medal to Vice President Biden.

I pray that the leadership of this once great Catholic institution will return to it's mission of being a light of truth and hope to it's students, faculty, alumni, and the world.

Biden is NOT a Catholic. Impossible to be when supporting homosexual behavior abortion and other evil!

I am praying for Our Blessed Mother to ask her Son to stop this evil deed. Some Communists and Masons have infiltrated our church. Is Father Jenkins one of those? He and the Board should be impeached. Why do Catholics stand by while evil worsens?

We pray for the witness of powerful institutions like Notre Dame, to the joyful truth of the moral teachings of Christ and his Church.

Totally agree with Bishop Rhodes, especially with these statements: If we honor Catholic politicians or public officials, we should make sure there is a basic consistency between their political decisions and sound Catholic moral and social teaching. We should not honor those who claim to personally accept Church teaching, but act contrary to that teaching in their political choices. We should choose for honors those whose lives and work are exemplary in witnessing to the Gospel and disqualify those who dissent from the truths and values we profess and hold dear. When we do so, when we “raise the bar,” so to speak, we not only avoid scandal, but we also have an opportunity to recognize and thank authentic witnesses to the Catholic faith for their fidelity. We also lift them up in a way that may inspire others to imitate their example.

For Father Jenkins and staff that they may point their decisions towards maintaining the Catholic integrity of this university of our sacred mother.
