The emails I receive from people terrified to head to the polls are heavy to carry, but they prove we are right to keep pushing for this delay. It is exhausting to navigate the silence from the department, yet I refuse to let them ignore the risk this election poses to our neighbors.

People haven't received their absentee ballots in a timely manner and cannot have them postmarked on April 7th if they didn't get them. We've been ordered to stay home and safe, making it dangerous to vote in person. It's obvious voter suppression.
I live at 2175 Moccasin Tr., Beloit, WI, 53511. The only way we can keep people safe right now is postponing the election and mailing every registered voter an absentee ballot. Any other course of action is going to result in voter suppression or endangerment of voters and poll workers.
There are lessons from history that need to be brought to bear on this moment. During the 1918 flu pandemic, cities that did not honor/prematurely broke orders to cancel public gatherings paid the price in human lives. That *will* happen again here. Please, please intervene. This is a generation-level health crisis. Don't let Wisconsin pay for the arrogance of a few who are ignorant of that history.
Citizens should not have to choose between their civic duty and their lives. Delay of the election, will save lives. Act now.
You close schools and sporting events to keep people away from each other yet you don't shut down to polls to stop the spread of this pandemic, risking everyone's lives over something that is easily delayed as all other states have already done. Have proper priorities please!!

I voted absentee ballot early, but I know not everyone knows they can do that, and even if they did, have a right to not go out in public during a health crisis. Not everyone has received their absentee ballots either. Please do not let this happen. My mother already informed me she is scared to go vote tomorrow and is therefore not going.
