Plan does not seem that we are getting much for our money, and goodness we do not even have the money!

I love the idea of renovated spaces and appreciate all the work the board has done to date. However the questions that past Board and club leadership have brought up in this petition are very valid and I would like to better understand the answers to these questions prior to voting. Thank you to everyone involved in guiding us to the best solution for WIllow Oaks and its membership.

Lots of very valid questions and other questions that are not listed. Club Members should be allowed to get more data before a vote is taken.
Thank You. ESP

Let's not do a hurry-up or rush job until everyone agrees and votes on what is really broken and needs to be fixed.

There are other options to what the Board has proposed, and we believe that they should be explored before any vote. Giving members one quickly conceived option after a failed vote on the Board’s preferred option is not appropriate. This proposed option has not been vetted, no membership input has been sought on alternatives to it, and we understand the approval percentage on the vote is to be a simple majority (an very ill-considered idea if true). The only sure result if this option is approved by a simple majority vote is that the membership will be divided and the strength of WOCC, its ability to accommodate diverse groups of members, will be lost to the long term detriment of our Club. We are not necessarily of the same mind if this proposal proves to be the best proposal, but we both believe this vote should be delayed so that other options can be considered.
We remember well when the membership was asked to consider our golf course’s renovation. It passed overwhelmingly because that Board over many months was able to demonstrate to the full membership that this was in the best interest of the Club in the long term. The Board followed this precedent with Savor 60 but that option failed. The membership should not now be rushed to vote on a new proposal. The Board simply needs to take the time to explore more options with members.
A quick, forced vote will be the end of the Club’s history of serving all of the Club’s diverse members well and with respect. The Board should defer the vote and seek membership input to see if another option would be more likely to garner the support of a super majority of members. There is no reason to risk offending the many members who otherwise will believe that their views on alternatives were rejected without full and fair consideration.

We are for improving the club! Believe there are few issues to be considered. Voting by stock share, vs, number of families? The assessments, same for fitness? And of course, the mens grill?

As an architect with over thirty years experience, I have no confidence the current design work is in the best long term interest of our club. I support improvements for our clubhouse, however only willing to do so if the design enhances our facilities for generations to come. We have time on our side - let's get this right. I support the move to postpone the vote until such time.

I am mostly concerned that the cost will be on the backs of members already slated to pay for renovations to tennis and golf in the near future? Why aren't social members sharing in this cost if they use the clubhouse?

Middle of July when lots of members are on summer holiday is not the time to take this vote. Should be done in the fall, after more discussion has been done.
