Flashing lights must be placed at least 300 mts before every rail crossing on our roads so trucks have time to stop

When we moved out to Parkes NSW I couldn't believe that a federal highway would have a railway crossing with no boom gates. It seems very unnecessarily dangerous to me. There is no excuse!

ALL our family members deserve to come home safe at the end of their day. The loss of Noel and many others could have been avoid had a earlier warning system been in place. Not just at this crossing but many others across our vast nation. FIX THIS and help keep our families safer. WTG Nikki, great start :)

being a train driver an previously driving trains over that level crossings i couldnt agree more that boom gates are needed. the costing is huge tho so good luck with this. no amount of money is worth a human life. companies think different tho. again i hope something is seriously done to stop such events from happening again

I live on the Tullemore Rd and travel it with my young son, something really needs to be done to make it more safe.

this railway crossing is very dangerous . I travel this road most days. The afternoon sign blocks out the warning lights and you can't see the signal . and I have crossed the railway with a train coming. 100km speed limit coming up to a railway crossing is extremely dangerous . Especially when you can't see the train from the trees that are in the side of the track that block vision . Action should have taken place before we lost a life
