Currently the residents of Port Wentworth pay the 2nd highest water and sewer service rates in Chatham County, GA. Furthermore the City of Port Wentworth has two different water and sewer rate structures depending upon where you live in the city. We are not that big of a city and it is unfair for some to pay more than others. This petition is to demand that the City of Port Wentworth City Council lower the water and sewer service rates to the average value of all service providers in Chatham County, GA. By signing this petition you certify that you are a resident of the City of Port Wentworth, GA and you are in support of reducing the water and sewer service rates to the average value for all of Chatham County, GA and that you are in support of having only one rate structure for the entire city.
