Humans have enough green to enjoy in this world. Why are we constantly trying to deprive other species of enjoying it when it's their earth too? This planet isn't exclusively the humans - we need to learn to share.

Whilst temporarily living in Qatar I can only dream about walking from the Lakegrounds to Sugar loaf along the golf course. so many happy memories walking/running this route please don't close it. Portishead wouldn't be the same.

Not many people are aware of this disgusting proposal - so underhand!!! Cannot become a dumping ground and land should be protected!!!!!!

Absolutly disgusted with the counsellors behaviour. Its has been used as a recreational space for many many years. It should be allowed to be a public space and not a dumping ground.

I have used the golf course to walk my dogs for over 30 years. It is such an asset to Portishead and its residents. Please leave it alone.

I have walked and jogged the coastal footpath and golf course for over 40 years even when the pub used to be called the Hole in One (a long time ago). The proposals are a shot in the foot for Portishead residents and who would want to play golf on a moneymaking landfill? This area has been used by locals and visitors without hinderence or challenge for far too long to now become a refuse site.

I've been walking this area for 20 years, and I find it beggars believe that the council would even consider this so called development to go ahead. I always feel very safe walking along there because it is so open, this development will close it in and make the path darker, and in turn make it very muddy in winter. One of the reasons we bought our house was the lovely walks along the coastal path, I just hope the council see sense and leave it alone.

The plans to create earth banks and plant trees and other shrubs will take away the open feel of the whole experience of walking that coastal path, something I have done for over 30 years.

I have been walking across the golf course unapposed ever since i could walk, I'm 54 now and can remember when there were no pine trees or scrub between the course and the path. You used to be able to find dozens of golf balls on the beach.
