This is just crazy, as a grandparent there is absolutely no benefit for these kids in doing this, way to young to social with the older kids

I am appalled that they even thought to do this where are their morals There is a reason grade 7/8 are separate from high school to transition them into an already stressful teen life Use your brains and find other ways to improve the education system !!

There are terrible flaws in our system that allow decisions like this to be made without public consultation. A lot of things commonly seen and heard in a high school setting are simply not appropriate for 12 year olds.

I believe this is a terrible plan. No one has thought of our young children and what they will miss in their senior year of elementary school, with senior trips, grade 8 grad, sports teams, school council. Not to mention the changes that will impact those already at the high school. Mental health and drug abuse is in shambles currently at the high school. So very against this!!!!!

My daughter is currently attending PESCS. I do not want her going to a high school in grade 7 when most grade 9s can’t even handle going to a high school!! Keep our kids where the are until a better solution can be agreed upon in the community BY the community. To many decisions are continuously being made without the agreement of the people of Port Elgin. Enough is enough!

This is s terrible idea, and I am adamantly opposed to it! Bring back the portables, or come up with a better solution for our young children!

I am upset that my daughter is being robbed of the opportunity to be a senior at the school she loves so much. I am upset, as is she, that she isn't getting the opportunity to be a leader to the younger kids she is going to school with. I'm upset that the band program she loves so much and does so well in will be changed and taken from her. She is upset she won't be representing her school, the Wildcats, as a senior in sports programs. That her grade 8 graduation will be less of a transition. That she will no longer be able to walk her little brother to and from school. I'm also upset she will be exposed to social situations that are beyond her maturity level in a high-school environment.
