It’s a bad idea. Upsetting for children and parents. I’m sad that my child is being kicked out of the school he loves and has loved since junior kindergarten. I’m sad that he gets to watch his brother graduate from Northport this year and that he will not get that experience. I’m sad that he will not get to walk his little brother to kindergarten. I wish there was a better solution.

I do not agree with the grade 7 and 8s being moved to SDSS. These students innocence is too high of a price to pay for the boards poor planning for a short sighted solution.

By moving the gr7&8 up to the high school will only work for a couple of years and then we will be in the same situation all over again at the high school level. I have heard from many of the children who would be going up next year and they are anxious, frustrated and nervous. Why should they have to “grow up” faster. Let them be kids and enjoy being in a learning environment that allows them to gradually mature instead of being forced into it.

This plan seems like another TEMPORARY fix. Whats our long-term plan? Our town is growing and continues to grow but it seems as if there is no money to be put into our schools. Our children are the most important part of our community this should be highest priority but we continue to see money being poured into tourist attractions.

The projected growth of our community and surrounding communities should have the Bluewater board looking into a permanent solution not a bandaid fix that will cost taxpayers. Where is the funding coming from? I am certain it's not from a pay cut from those making these decisions without input from parents, taxpayers or teachers.
Students must come first and what's best in ways of a long term solution.

For once the Board should get out ahead of the issues instead of lagging behind , build a school- it is needed. Put the children as top priority for a change.

I am not in support of a plan that takes away opportunities from our kids. If there is a way to ensure there are no missed opportunities with the move, for example no loss of music/band programs, I think that it would be an ok temporary solution to the overcapacity at the grade schools. However, taking opportunities away from kids is not a solution at all!

Do not support this short term solution to a long term problem. Reconsider this solution and implement one of the other community suggested solutions (ex: expanding current Norrhport location to include the fields behind it).

This plan is not what is best for our kids. The large amount of missed opportunities that our kids will be subject to, all as a result of lack of planning by our school Board, is completely unfair to our kids, and unacceptable! A better long term plan that considers the well being of our students as the #1 priority is needed!
