I don’t agree with this at all. Kids are already growing up too fast and so many look forward to Grade 8 grad and so many other things. Not to mention having 7s and 8s with the younger grades allows them to step up and mentor the younger kids.

I do not agree with the move of the 7 & 8’s to SDSS. Students are mentally or physically ready at such a young age to be forced into an adult environment.

If renovations are required to accommodate the students, make the renovations where the students belong. That would be in the elementary schools.

I am opposed to this move. There are several reasons for my opinion, not the least of which is the huge disruption to the both the elementary and secondary programming.

This proposed move reminds me of that famous movie....."One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest"(the Board). Teenagers are
"Grease"-like....not for kids. Kids are a mixture of "The Wizard of Oz" with a touch of the "Jungle Book¨and "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial." THEY DON,T MIX!

Making this change will not solve the problem as down the road the elementary over crowding will move into the secondary. Then you will have a secondary over crowding problem.

Considering all classes, and the impact to music classes, gym and team sports, and the growth of high school aged kids in the next few years, installing portables at Northport is a better idea.

I do not support this move. Very disappointing after the recent closures of nearby rural schools that could have been utilized with boundary adjustments.

These poor kids both grade school and high school students. The grade 7 & 8’s will be lacking in so much.
