It's absurd to read that the council and state government might be able to find $5 million for a second boat ramp, but can't find any money to stop the rampant erosion of the foreshore.

The foreshore needs help. Only the powers (FCRC) to be can rectify this by listening to the people who vote for them. Poona residents pay exorbitant rates just to have their rubbish bins emptied and the roads maintained, nothing else. !
Show you really do care for our "sad" ecology here in Poona and save our foreshore .

We have lived in Poona for nearly 9yrs & seen the foreshore of this beautiful place deteriorate rapidly.If nothing is done soon their will be no foreshore,no beach,no walk track & all the native animals will disappear.Also the houses on the foreshore will have terrible problems with foundations etc.They pay enough in rates to live there.Surely talking to people who visit Poona & just their comments how the foreshore looks is enough to do something about the fallen trees,erosion,unkept walkways,fallen branches,collapsing sands at the end of easement,huge holes which is a safety issue.In the nine years I have lived here,I have seen the pathway mowed once,& yes they did paint the white poles & left huge puddles of spilt paint .Also the information boards about the habitat of birds species,grasses,trees etc are a disgrace,you can not read them.It doesnt give a very could immpression to overseas visitors who come to see our beaurtiful little Poona.The whole area along the foreshore needs to be looked at & something done soon,or we wont have one.

Great work Murray. Council need to either fix it like they did for Hervey Bay or at least tell us what materials we can use to stop it ourselves. Happy to help to put my time and money in if they will let us.

I have owned my property at Poona for 18 yrs and have seen the foreshore erosion. Well done Murray for helping stop the erosion and the trees. FCRC should be ashamed for not helping to protect Poona foreshore. I support Murray in every way for his efforts in protecting the foreshore and trees.

Our foreshore at Poona definitely needs protection from erosion. We have seen the damage after each bad storm with a high tide has caused, needs attention now not when it's too late.
