My heart breaks to see what has been done at this lovely beach at Poona and that FCRC want it ripped apart. Doesn’t common sense prevail anymore.???Council please have another meeting and really look further into this silly argument to stop people improving our foreshores. Maybe take your meeting and councillors to Murray’s front and bring all Poona together for discussion. Knowing Murray you would be most welcome as he is with all and I am sure the decision to make someone pull out the great work done at no cost to our council may change. Support you all the way Murray.

FCRC absolutely appalling. Not only on this matter. Drainage as well, rate paying resident being told he is a Ser ial complainer about an open cesspool of a drain beside his house. It is a mosquito breeding ground, a cane toad haven and dangerous. Not Nice. Listen to the residential ratepayers FCRC and act to their requirements.

After over 40 years of staying at Poona in a holiday and permanent capacity, I have witness many residents trying to save our foreshore. If it wasn't for these attempts alot more of the foreshore would be gone along with the trees that help hold it. This issue is not a new one that the resident's have bought to the councils attention. Our community deserves help with this issues like the other waterfront communities get within the Fraser Coast. FCRC you need to step up we have waited long enough.

I contacted local member and fccc months ago about erosion of our foreshore and got nothing of any value in the 30 minute follow up call. They have no plan to stop the erosion. When a few more metres are lost we won't even be able to walk through some areas

Something needed to be done! Well done to the residents who have gone out of their way to help save the foreshore. Fraser coast council have failed the community on many occasions when it comes to the care and maintenance of this town.

Enough is enough. Time to start protecting the foreshores of the Great Sandy Strait. There is only limited access to this wonder and those access locations need protection. Council employees are there to follow instructions not dictate the direction.

I agree, very sad that Poona is so neglected. Unsafe for children as well, with all the fallen trees just left on the beach and Rusty star pickets exposed at the end of the foreshore. Accidents waiting to happen. Erosion getting worse and will continue to happen. I'm happy to sign this petition.

I have visited and stayed at this location and the care and detail that Murray has for his land and the foreshore is amazing. Spending his own money to save the environment

Murray has been working hard to beautiful this area, as you can tell, it’s a shame that before and after his property starts and ends that council have no interest in keeping the area free of fallen trees and mess created by storm events
