Would love a pool closer to home. It would get so much use!

An indoor swimming destination would bring large profits for the city through destination events (parties, picnics, birthdays, groups, etc.), plus create an amazing place for social bonding between families in this area of town. Removing a pool from the plans in favor of an empty community room is short-sighted. My kids are not going to beg me to go sit in an empty room at the community center, they're going to beg me to go play at the pool, where we'll stay and spend money and strengthen community bonds.

Fort Collins was ranked as the top 6 cities in the nation for swimming by the USA swimming organization. Competitive swimming in this area has more than doubled in the last 6 years & is projected for continued growth over the next 10 years. Given that Ft Collins has only 1 competitive pool & a limited, out-dated practice pool, there is a desperate need for an additional competitive pool. Providing another pool option creates additional economic drivers for our community when local swim clubs are able to sponsor state-level meets and attract Denver teams & swim teams from all over the state. These families add to our economy through hotel rooms, restaurants, retail & other recreational activities, not to mention all the tax revenue the city receives through these venues. Isn't it time to "Renew" ourselves with a "Refreshing way of life"? For the kids, for the parents, & most of all, for our community - City Council - reinstate the plans for indoor leisure and lap pools in the Southest Recreation & Arts Center.

The community center does not have to be uniquely Fort Collins to meet the needs of the community. I believe the city needs to listen to the residents in the southeast area.

Swimming is an important sports for ALL ages. The city does not have enough pool space currently for the city needs and a new pool is needed

Please consider funding a lap pool - with a diving well. My daughter swims on the Northern Colorado Orcas synchronized swimming team and we have very few options for pools in Fort Collins. We would greatly appreciate a pool on the south end of town to practice in. We are forced to have most practices in Loveland even though the majority of our swimmers are from Fort Collins because of the limited aquatic facilities in FC.

Also would love to see a bike park similar to Valmont in Boulder.

Take a look at what is going on in Fort Collins. I am tired of all of our tax dollars going to the same mid-town and old town locations when all of our growth is south and east. Wake up!

Fort Collins needs a community pool like other cities (Loveland, Grelley, Longmont, Boulder, Arvada, Westminster etc.)

Southeast Fort Collins is in need of a family oriented community center with a pool for families, not an endless lap pool feature!

As a lifelong swimmer, I think Fort Collins is behind the curve on swimming facilities. I love to swim laps and even take the Flex bus to Loveland on Fridays to swim laps outdoors at Wilson pool there. I wish that City Park would have included lap lanes, as it's totally kid-centric now. I would love to see an olympic-size pool in S.E. Fort Collins and would gladly support a tax to get it done.

The aquatics features proposed in this petition seem much more useful to the community than a "collaborative space".
