The momentum behind this petition confirms that many others value the preservation of Pontesford Hill as much as I do. This support proves that our natural landscape holds a significance that should not be compromised by these proposed developments.

I've been carried/walking up that hill since I was born, and have taken my kids up there since they were born. It's so much a part of our family history that we all know it as 'Grandma's Hill'. Don't destroy its natural beauty or our memories. Aren't there enough brown sites around you can build on?!
We must allow future generations to enjoy the hill in its natural beauty. This development will deprive all young people in the locality of a place to walk, explore, play and to appreciate nature.
Haven't we spoilt enough natural beauty? I grew up walking this hill and it is a pure and beautiful place, it shouldn't be ruined by a pretention and money making nonsense. Leave this beautiful place alone!
I have lived on Pontesford hill for my whole life (29years) and have very fond memories there. I took part in the fund raising to buy the hill when it went up for sale to prevent this kind of thing from happening! This is where myself and many of my friends have grown up. Where our parents took us for walks and picnics when we were children. Where we ran with school cross country and enjoyed our beautiful surroundings. We are incredibly lucky to have this on our doorstep and we should keep it the way it is! It is unfair to take this away from our community but to preserve it for our future generations to enjoy.
My family and I have walked and ridden over the Hill since we came to Shropshire forty years ago. It is a beautiful area of natural beauty and contains many species of wildlife and wild flowers. Why should the new owner ruin this for future generations. This is why the community tried to buy this area;to keep it safe from any development. The present owner isn't interested in the area of natural beauty- he only wants to make money out of it! We have got to fight this !!!

I am not against visitors enjoying the beauty of the hill but the lanes used to approach the car park are unsuitable to take any more traffic than use it now. That reason alone makes it a nonstarter.
