Anonymous. Thank you for your feedback. In regards to your question "instead of so many people complaining about the league why don't you try to help make it better???" The simple answer is that many have tried to help the league, only to be turned down and ran off by the league President. She does not want help she wants complete control and to do things her way.

After reading all this, I'm in agreement that all points made seem valid and changes are needed. I want to sign my kids up but not under these conditions of course! I'll save my money and find another sport for them to play unless things change for better.

I have two boys that have previously played soccer for Livingston Youth Soccer Association back when my oldest son was just five-years-old the cost of plane was around 55 to $60 now my son doesn't want to play because the cost of playing soccer is now more than the cost of playing regular football or baseball and Polk County also the cost is for full uniform shorts shirt and socks when a lot of the times the shirts and the shorts are never the right sizes when distributed to the players also we pay the cost so they can maintain the cutting of grass and field maintenance such as net or more coverage over picnic tables this has not been done in the past two years I should know I was part of the board at one point in time and I had to step down because I didn't feel it was right what was going on with the organization I am glad to sign this petition knowing that Lysa will not be able to renew their contract with the county of Polk and that the field allowed to be used for anyone at any time not just when the fields are open to LYSA and it's seasonal plays. LYSA says that they are and open sport for fun but yet my children find it more fun to to play other sports than just soccer when soccer was their passion before

I agree that the soccer league has become an embarrassment to the county and needs a serious change of everything. I quit allowing my children to play because rules only applied to some of the players on the team and favoritism was very apparent. Even after numerous complaints that my child was constantly on the bench, nothing was done. The children of the coach clearly received favoritism and played the entire game while a choice few sat the bench more than half the game. Referees were definitely a problem and most of them didn't even know the rules of the game. I will not give my hard earned money to see my child sit and watch the game from the sidelines and watch the refs make up their own rules.

Change needs to be done, for the youth of Livingston and surrounding areas.

I work for the city of Livingston and my shop is at pedigo park so I'm always seeing the fields and they are mistreated and I remember playing as a kid how awesome the league was and how beautiful the fields were. But here as of late they have gone downhill.

My daughter played with this league for 2 years too long. We were concerned the first year and felt we would give it another try since she loved the sport so much. Again disappointed with fields not being taken care, risk of my child being injured due to the number of holes on the field. There were many times fields were not marked and occasions where they did not have referee's. The fact that I had concerns and asked about a board meeting to be told it was a closed meeting did not settle well with me.

We need a competitive environment for all players. "Friendly" soccer games are for the little ones but as for the older kids I feel we should have competitive individuals and request evaluations for those who do want to play soccer. As a old member of the LYSA, LYSA is not giving back our money's worth so I say if it's competitive and organized with GOOD coaches and REFS then the organization will see a good amount of soccer players signing up. The lack of soccer in Livingston Texas is devastating because it doesn't get any recognition that it should have.

Was not informed there would be no coach available for my daughters team after I paid weeks later because there was no volunteer yet. My husband and I has to coach the team with me not having no clue what I was doing in soccer just wanted my baby to have fun and it was terrible. Uniforms were cheap materials and $80 registration which was way too much for the experience we had. Worst experience ever!

Maybe you should have offered to help the coach if they had just had surgery. Maybe that coach was a single parent and didn't have anyone to watch them so as a parent yes he/she should keep their kids with them and I applaud anyone willing to help coach even if they don't know but just want to have fun. One coach out there is in a wheel chair do you think the parent's of his kids complain because obviously he cant run around either. Instead of so many people complaining about the league why don't you try to help make it better???
