I had a terrible experience with LYSA. I had to end up being a coach for my child and the others on the team because the coach we were given had no clue about what was going on, just had knee surgery and couldn't move around, and was busy chasing their own children around instead of coaching during practice.

My son currently plays in Lufkin because lysa is not competitive, and doesn't teach fundamentals much less the game.

I to would be interested in your story. My wife and I both have served as administrator over this league back in the beginning, before these fields were built in the 1980's and 90's. Current board has no class and a whole bunch of drama. The best interest of the children is not considered. It's all about the board President's agenda. And her behavior is disgusting and unprofessional. I will be happy to tell anyone that asks what she did concerning my family.

Cindy we agree that kids need to have fun. With that said many children enjoy competing in sports. There is a misconception that LYSA has created, that implies that soccer cannot be both fun and competitive. With that said there is nothing FUN about playing in ankle high grass, with large holes on the field, and no referee's to control the game. Thank you for your support.

Kids just need to have fun. There's enough of being competitive with everything Else. My son played soccer in Livingston and he loved it. That was many years ago though.

So glad to hear. My son loves soccer but the fields are never maintained no refs it's pretty terrible. Hope this works out.

I left LYSA because of the poor management and unprofessionalism of the league. There is not an open board, the board is made up of a group of friends and family for the most part. From my observation there seems to be an abuse of funds. Tons of fundraisers, sponsor's etc. but yet not there seems to be nothing to show for it.
