With nearly one fifth of America’s economy dependent on the housing sector, and here in Missouri where the real estate industry accounts for 15% of the gross state product, homeownership is not just an economic engine, it's a cultural fabric that binds us all together – fostering stronger communities and creating social stability.

The housing market affects everyone, not just homeowners. Renters, contractors, and a host of housing related services and retailers all benefit from a strong housing sector. Plain and simple, homeownership matters to Missourians.

• Opposing overregulation of mortgage financing that unreasonably restricts consumer accessibility to home loans.
