Numerous analyses are predicting that the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) will result in the loss of Canadian jobs, increase the cost of pharmaceuticals, and extend copyright restrictions among many other drawbacks. The interest of the Canadian public is in this case clearly served best by the rejection of our participation in this treaty. At the same time, corporate entities are lobbying hard for the passage of this trade partnership as a way of increasing profits through the outsourcing of Canadian jobs. It is time for the Canadian government to realize that the Canadian public is watching and will hold them accountable for their actions on the TPP.

To make this message heard in parliament we must start a nation-wide pledge where those who will be of voting age by the next election commit to not voting for any incumbent member of parliament (MP) that votes in favor of the TPP, or new candidates from parties that whip their votes in favor of the TPP. We have to let our MP's know that we are watching, and that there will be consequences for selling out the Canadian people in this deal.

Please sign this petition as an indicator of your pledge to vote in the next federal election against any party or individual MP who votes in favor of the TPP.
