If you enjoy having the safety of your privacy maintained than you are going to want to take a look at the TPP agreement. First there was SOPA, then there was PIPA. The internet beat them down. Then along came ACTA inciting protests all around the world. The next attempt is something similar to the bills before it, however it is far worse and far more secretive, the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement or TPP. For those that do not know of TPP, which is the majority of the population, it is a treaty being devised by the United States and eight other countries in the pacific including Singapore, Vietnam, Chile, New Zealand, Peru, Australia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalem. The TPP puts our global internet infrastructure at stake. What if I told you that your innate rights as an American Citizen were in danger? Would you act then? First off, the government has defied our due process rights. Negotiations have remained confidential from the public. The only copies ever released of the bill were accidental leaks. It's important to note that the leak occurred late last year. There is definitely something wrong with this picture. Additionally, the TPP does not have public health as its top priority.
