I have known Dave and his family since high school his mother Jill is one of the kindest and most compassionate teacher around such a shame the way she has been treated I hope that this can be resolved soon. Aloha Victor Hemmy III

I worked at Kilohana and chose to leave the school when I realized that the new Director / preschool board was taking the school in a direction I was not comfortable working at nor sending my child to. Ms. Jill was an amazing co-worker to me. She was kind and thoughtful and truly loved the kids and her job. It is shameful what has happened to Kilohana. I am sad for all the kids who are currently affected by the quick change of staffing late in the summer and I feel for all the parents who made the hard choice to pull their children and find an alternative school last minute. Thank you Clare and Marina for posting this petition to show Jill and the other teachers who have been wronged the overwhelming support that exists in the community. I encourage any current or former parents to also email / write the board to express concerns or Yelp review the school. I think the only way to shed light on the situation is to share your truth.

Jill was and is a good friend. She is a wonderful and caring teacher. She does what is right by the kids and knows each and every one of them.

My daughter mia was there 12 years ago! Jill was amazing!! My son just left Kilohana a year ago! And Jill was still AMAZING. Dear kilohana, I also know a teacher that was promoted to director and you let her go. I’m not going to name her for privacy reasons but you very well know who I’m talking about. She also was a teacher there for YEARS. I’m angry reading this. Your Christian school seems very un Christian. And very corrupt. Letting Jill go is truly awful. She IS ONE OF THE MOST LOVING AND FANTASTIC TEACHERS EVER. AND YES....I’m speaking knowing this w a span of 12 years ago and until now. Shame on you!!!

For a wonderful woman, whom raised an amazing son!!

Both of my children had Miss Jill as their preschool teacher. My daughter had the most wonderful experience learning in the nurturing environment that Kilohana used to be. My son has known and loved Jill since he was an infant coming to school with his sister. She has been like a second grandmother to him. He was in her class for the upheaval of the past year. Despite the terrible decisions by the board she remained the one consistent strength in that classroom. The teachers were the best part of this school. The decisions by the board and the new director are despicable. They do not have the welfare of the teachers or the children in mind. They have kept parents completely uninformed and they are only looking at their bottom line. Miss Jill deserves respect and she should not be treated this way. We are shocked by what has happened at this school and have moved our son to a new school. Shame on the board for destroying Kilohana.

This is so wrong, how would you people feel if the company your mother or you did this shit to you!!!, Mrs. Edery is one of the sweetest and most loving ladies I've ever known, and she takes pride in her job and honor to teach these children, and her work record has proven this!!! So get your heads out of your assess and take care of the ones who take care of your children and our future!!!! You KNOW what is right!, stop being greedy!!!
