Just because I cannot help my 4th grader with math that does not mean I am stupid. It means they are teaching him CRAP!! Too early, too fast and too confusing.

common core is awful. It has lowered learning standards, and they learn at least 3 different ways to do a math problem. That takes too much time. If another child's with the way most kids learn take him/her aside and help them find what works for them. One recess is all my grade schooler gets because there is not enough time. How about give teachers the power to actually disinclined a child and the parent back the teacher up and hold their child responsive for their behavior. Give the kids the ability to burn off extra energy. Their bodies and brains need that outlet. Testing is a bogus way to determine what the kids are learning. They focus on preparing for a test and teachers are penalized or lose jobs. Common core needs to go and states need to take back their education system. If parents pull out or parents move because your curriculum sucks, find a new one and do better. Be competitive, it's how we work in the the land of the free. Stop picking on Christians and stop being afraid to offend someone. I'm offended that Christmas is a holiday break. Give me a break. Take back the schools, it's public because of tax dollars. That means WE have a say. The elected officials work for the tax payers, not the other way around. Nobody wants common core, get rid of it. Stop the entitlement generation.

It is a parents right to object to anything they feel in inappropriate being taught to their children. The common core opens a very dangerous door to take away that right away. It's implementation must be fought at every turn.
