Please get the federal government and their ideas out of our schools!! Common Core and every other name it under is making our children hate school, and not allowing parents to be able to help them do their homework.....It is disgusting!!

Please get the federal government control out of our schools.....I am finding it very detrimental to a lot of my grandchildren with the programs they feel are sooo important.....let the teachers teach as they have for so many years....

Common Core began with pureness of purpose, but went bad when the political and financial movers and shakers seized the opportunity to jump aboard, gaining a ready-made platform for self-promoting (ostensibly altruistic) agendas. Goodbye creativity, independence, individuality, aspiring to excellence, and hello to mediocrity, confusion, complacency, fear, and frustration . Are we on a fast track to the hive, the collective?! We need to be brave enough to express our true opinions and stand up for what we believe in. The 'architects' are engineering a new world without our knowledge, consultation, or consent. Are we deliberately uninformed? Time to read, study, research, and learn what's going on before we become part of the pavement on which it will stand. Our kids and grand kids are counting on us.

If a child is asked any of the sample questions I've read. Example have you ever had intercourse before. Here's how I'd answer the question and what I will be recommending.
" I refuse to answer the question. Because the question does not educate me". Or ask a question of the question. " What is the educational value I get for answering this question your asking of me"? If no explanation can be given. " Then move to the next question.

I know Maggie for years and if she is standing in the way of dumping Common Core she just lost my future votes . Her husband was head of PEA as I feel he was living in a bubble and out of touch with those of us in the real world perhaps Maggie is as well . Their children have had the benefits our sons and daughters may never have and to think they have a disabled child. I would like to hope she rethinks her stance on Common Core and how it is literally destroying our children's love of learning but disrupting family time and bonding. I will not ever support the government. Controlling so much of my life as I am disabled and already deal with endless government red tape. We must have a rally or form a group to stand and voice our opinions in a public forum peacefully . So much is happening in our world that is scary . Why can't our children love learning. That is the key to Winning the race not Common Core,

I remember learning at school. Now my sons have hours of home work and are only 7 amid 10 and what comes hi,e is not taught in class so we mustnfiguremitmoit and we all end up,crying and thrn it is a call that your,child,need an IEP. Almost every parent ink ow is going down this road of pure frustration. Our kids are stressed out and so,are the parents. Kids no longer play outside after school,as they have loads of writing and math that is so,complex and the bar is so,high a few meet it as thrynhabebparents who,can hire tutors and no,child,is,left,behind? Really no,child laughs and enjoys learning anymore! Please do,something about,this. My son is 7 and not one teacher has taught him. To read. They expect him to learn after sitting in a chair for 6.5 hours and come home and read to me and fill out a form of how ,a,he hour per week he read and he had no basic training to begin with. I learned in kindergarten and we had one on one in the hall with a teacher for an hour per day and it was FUN! Math was FUN! Now my sons hate school and hate summer as they must study to prepare for common core ! Please throw Coomin Core I the trash where it belongs! Our childeren all learn differently and through passion and great teachers who are not yelling as they are stressed out! This must stop, assessments and tests are all my sons think about and THRY are too young to have such anxiety. ADHD IS A NY PRODUCT OF OUR SCHOOL SYSYTEM, kids are just so frustrated they would rather day dream or run or act out as classes are prison camps for 6.5 hours per day. My sons are smart and I can read at home with them but if I give them a book of Common core lessons THRY cry! Stop hurting our kids and their love of learning now!
