With the majority of funding for our schools coming from our own Cities and Towns, there is no practical reason such a flawed program should be forced upon our children.

The educrats in NH and DC must be made to acknowledge that our children do not become community property the minute they set foot inside a public school.

Our local school recently informed parents the Common Core system was going to be used. No letter grades--and a convoluted nearly incomprehensible explanation of "why". There was no notice or parental involvement in the decision--other than it had been decided in Concord and the local school system was going to get on board sooner rather than later. This has created a difficult transition for our sophomore son--and his parents. Information about Common Core appears to be purposefully difficult to interpret.

This is the most ridiculous form of learning!! My 16 uses so many steps for math and can't do a simple subtraction problem with out getting frustrated because SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT SIMPLY!!! Thank you Common Core!! The idiot that came up with this should be made to watch these children struggle.

Stop Common Core as it has robbed my sons of the love of learning and made them dislike school at 8 and 10.'it has caused my once peaceful and productive happy home into chaos and anger! The schools do not teach math and we must so they assess. Last year they went to an arts school that moved and were full Of joy reading above grade level and now they are c an d students and their self esteem is gone ! Please Maggie you know me quite well and I am a good mom and I am too ill to homeschool but I will if I must to save my sons! DO SOMETHING NOW PLEASE! Not one family in this area has anything positive to say about Common Core and we must shuv it down our kids throats! Sickening! Teach through passion and wary a child thrive and move upward !

If you thought the common core math curriculum was horrible, get ready for the common core science. Just found out science is not being taught to my third grader but they replaced it with more "community" studies.

Common core is being rejected all over the nation. Long past time for NH to reject this 'comm' program and get on with education instead of obfuscation.

Get rid of Common Core Standards and the curriculum that was chosen to follow those standards! My kids will be homeschooled until it's gone and local, parental control of our children's education is restored.

Schooling should be guided at the local level with parent input. Federal government stay out of our children's education.

Pearson, Inc. -- $4.5 BILLION in sales in North America last year. Smarter Balanced is owned by the State of Washington. Thanks Bill Gates (sarcasm).

The dumbing down of our children must stop. The government needs to get out of the education business.
