I would love to see this happen the Lido is an amazing attraction but unlike the old padding pool does not allow parents to relax and keep a eye on the children. It was also a good place that you could sit and have a bite to eat with a opportunity for people to meet and spend time together.

The worst thing that cud have happened In Pontypridd in living memory is that they took away our famous outdoor pool . Bring it back for our kids sakes. They need to swim it saves lives. Come on Pontypridd Council ur Better than the rest so show them n bring bk life in our lovely Park xxx

This would be brilliant idea for all the children to enjoy wich is sadly not the case with the lido there are extensive booking ques to get in there them you only get hour and half kids don't getto enjoy it properly like tho old pool bit with splash pad all kids could enjoy with out the panic on parents about booking in time or how long theu got im there.

Couldn't agree more! Although the lido is great and I'm grateful to have it local to me it is really difficult to get space! A splash pad would be a great addition to Ponty park and would only help bring extra people into the town centre.

The kids need this. My childhood memories of Ponty park are precious, make memories for more. It's criminal they don't have a free paddling pool where they don't have to book and only allowed in for an hour. We we're there all day every day. We paid and had sessions in the baths at busy periods, but we still had the paddling pool to fall back on. Children need this pleasure too.
