Please save the RMU Men's Cross Country/Track and Field Program

What is this world coming to when track and field is no longer appreciated it's the basis for all sports

Very disappointed in RMU right now. Track is such a popular sport and they have been successful here at RMU. It is not fair to them to have done all of this hard work their entire lives and then it just be taken away.

I don't want to think of RMU without track team! please keep them for us.

This sport was one of my best memories at RMU because of how close the team was as a whole. Not only that, the men's track and cross country programs have been doing so well in our conference the past few years. No amount of money is worth taking away these teams. They don't even require upkeep of facilities.

Bring us back!

I heard on the news yesterday the PITT Chancellor will receive a 3% salary increase bringing him to $500,000/yr. Is this elimination a money issue? Maybe check the salaries of the RMU staff. I'm sure some cuts can be made.

Save the sports programs!

Good students will be attracted to this school because of athletics. Even having lived in Pittsburgh my entire life, the only people I know who attend RMU are athletes. Cross Country and Track reinforce positive values like determination, perseverance, and a strong work ethic.

As a former track and field alumni from another school in the same conference it would be a shame to see this program go especially since it has been strong particularly in the throws

Many runners dream of being able to run in college, please do not take that dream away...they've worked to hard!
