Cross Country helped to shape me into the man I am today. It's the greatest prep. for the real world in which individual performance AND team effort is how everything operates.

Running is not just an activity; running is a passion shared by many. Don't take the opportunity to enjoy running from these students. Their sport is just as important as any other.

The program that you are cutting is made of real people. You can't just take away from them something that is as much a part of their life as sleeping and eating. You can't put a price tag on someone's passion. These people deserve to keep their program just as much as any other sport.

How much more does it cost for Men's XCountry and Track and Field, when you are keeping the Women's programs. You still need to maintain the tracks and courses. They do not require much, in terms of equipment. Why eliminate programs that succeed and ones whose athletes excel in their academics? This makes no sense.
