I was a national cross country athlete in college. Dont get rid of this team. It'll be one of the highlights of these peoples lives.

I have a good friend who came to RMU in part because he expected to have the opportunity to continue his cross country career here as well as earn his degree. He was one of the best runners in the state when he ran in high school and it would be a shame for him to lose this opportunity. It means everything to him that this program stays alive.

Cutting this program is cutting opportunities for young men and women

Why are they keeping women and cutting men's ??? Men doesn't cost that much. And the track and courses have to be maintained. Cut the extra stuff in each sport. Have fund raiser. Bake sales oh I would bake. For these bake sales. And delivery it every other week if that's what it would take to keep the men s cc and track going.

Cross country has been a sport for the ages. Getting rid of cross just so you can add a few thousand extra dollars to your football fund is a joke.

That's so stupid. Just because it's not as popular of a sport doesn't mean you should take it away!! (Coming from the Cross Country team at AFNORTH in The Netherlands)

“I run because long after my footprints fade away, maybe I will have inspired a few to reject the easy path, hit the trails, put one foot in front of the other, and come to the same conclusion I did: I run because it always takes me where I want to go.” ― Dean Karnazes,

Please consider the futures of the students whose lives you are seriously affecting by cutting their sports from your program.

“Number one is just to gain a passion for running. To love the morning, to love the trail, to love the pace on the track. And if some kid gets really good at it, that’s cool too.” – Pat Tyson

The man who extended my running career and essentially encouraged me to go to college is an alumni here and a former track runner, who is now my coach. That shows the impact that this program has on individuals, I encourage you to keep this program.

I bet 95% of the student athletes effected by this action wouldn't have chose RMU As their school of study if they knew their dreams were going to be ruined.

I wish I could have had the opportunity to be on a cross country/track team in high school. Do not take away the opportunity of others in favor of another sport!
