Grew up in this neighborhood on Van Buren. My husband lived there - sweet memories of this historic building. Really sad about it possibly being torn down. I hate how so many of the historic places in Amarillo are just torn down and not preserved. Other cities don't do this like Amarillo does. We need to preserve our heritage.

I believe it will be of great historic value to rehabilitate this building and restore it instead of choosing to demolish it!

This beautiful old building could be renovated to serve the same purposes as a new building on the site, and the Baptist Community Services group would be much better serving the community! Save Jackson Square!

If the building can be gutted, and made into apportioned rented spaces without costing a great degree more than starting a new project. By all means.

I live in the neighborhood because of the historic properties that are present. It would be a shame to loose this part of our history.
