Clubs is the most effective part of Duo to learn a specific language. If clubs are gone, I will stop using Duolingo again. I am sorry. Do not delete clubs please.

Dear duolingo owners, please consider that clubs are giving additional value for your app.
Closing the clubs means that you don't care about your customers / users, and you don't care about the opinion of customers/users.
If need be some change done, please consider to add your new idea as an option, to give us possibility to to choose what we want to do on duolingo. Some of us probably prefer rat race, but other of us prefere conversation in clubs instead of racing. You should respect it.
I am sure that there are much more people who do not accept the closure of clubs.
Personally I don't accept idea of closing our clubs too. This radical change will make your app poor.

I quite love the clubs since they can get me inspired to learn with the competition involved. I hope we can save them or at least make it to where we can choose to keep the club or do the new leaderboard thing.
