I hope that he can be inducted while he is still able to be present. A great career at more than one school--a winner wherever he coached.

Went to Maryland when Lefty was the coach. Terp basketball back then was truly fun to watch! Can still picture him stomping the floor after a bad call.

I grew up pulling for the Wolfpack & "hating" Maryland/Lefty. With the benefit of hindsight, my youthful feelings reflect how great a coach he was.

As a Jimmy V who watched Lefty for years and resents the fall he had to take after Lenny Bias died (due to that bastard Brian Tribble)...I say he gets in!!!!

Duke 1957: I came a little late to see Lefty or Groat play, but I was there for every home game for 4 years.

Should have been in the HOF years ago. Remarkable run at Davidson with no resources or history, followed by some truly great teams at MD. Put him in the HOF!!!!!
