This iconic pier has emmense history to many different ships, including the most famous of Liners, the RMS TITANIC. Please help save this last bit of history, and preserve the arc and granite façade for future generations to come. This is not a hard task to accomplish, just allow the structure to stand.

Pier 54 is a historical area that even though abandoned it attracts people overall. Every time I visit NYC I go to Pier 54 to pay my respects for the Titanic. Please do not tear down the facade. Mu sincere vote from Brazil.

As a preservationist and a historian, I am appalled that such an historic piece of the New York warterfront is being destroyed. This pier needs not only to be saved but that it needs to be gradually and carefully restored. Such blatant disregard for New York history is unacceptable and shows BAD FAITH on the part of the developers!

Save the Pier 54 arch and southern & northern granite sections, please. Perhaps include them in the new Pier 55 design. Thank yiou
