The district finally confirmed Ramona Dunn is staying at William Yates. It has been an exhausting road to reach this point but I am relieved we kept our leadership intact. We should watch the transition period closely to ensure this stability lasts.

This petition is from the families of William Yates Elementary in support of keeping Ramona Dunn as the Principal. The signatures on this petition in no way reflect against the person, character or ability of Jan Castle (the incoming Principal from Franklin Smith Elementary). However, by signing this petition we place our full support in Ramona Dunn staying at William Yates to continue leading the Bulldog family.

The days have been long and the uncertainty is wearing on all of us. I am spending my hours meeting with anyone who will listen to why this leadership change is the wrong path for our school. We are not giving up on the stability our students deserve.

Reaching this level of visibility has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing the community rally for Ramona has kept me going. It is clear that the families here truly value the stability she provides to our school.

This is the school that our Grandson attends. Our Grandson has behavioral issues and has done great with the care that Ramona has given him. He even stated to His Dad what am I going to do now. PLEASE SEE TO THIS INJUSTICE.
As a WYE parent for the past 8 years, I have witnessed firsthand the transformation of our school. William Yates is THRIVING under Mrs. Dunn's amazing leadership. We love her dearly and want her to stay!
we could not imagine not having Ms.Dunn at our school. Before she came the school was unorganized and just plain. But when ms. Dunn came she turned it into a fun loving school. She is always willing to listen and help not only students but the parents as well. It would be sad to see the school go down under again.
My kids have had enough change in there young lives they don't need it in the school. just like you th school say kids need consistency. You the school need to practice what you preach.
My daughter, Ashlyn, will be attending William Yates in the Fall of 2016. My wife and I just purchased a house in the Blue Springs School District so that my kids could attend William Yates Elementary under Principal Dunn.
It would be a detrament to my student, if Mrs. Dunn was relocated.
Mona has changed the entire dynamics of WYE since her arrival....in an entirely positive way. Stopping this true momentum would be a great loss.

I have never been more impressed by a principal in my life and would be deeply saddened to see her be transferred to another school! Every student cried when she made the announcement. All the teachers are heartbroken. Why would the school district take away the leader of such an amazing, deserving bunch of students and staff?
