We petition the Wake County School Board to reverse the decision assigning Breckenridge middle-schoolers to West Cary Middle School versus Mills Park Middle School, which is materially closer to student homes, families, and extra-curricular activities, provides stability and reliability to for students already attending MPMS.
The existing traffic issues in Morrisville will be much compounded by carpool to West Cary Middle School. Mills Park is 4.7 miles vs. West Cary at 8.3 miles . This more than doubles the commute and time for ours kids on buses.

The momentum behind our request for the school board to maintain our current school assignments is encouraging. Please consider sending the petition link to a neighbor to help us reach the one hundred signature milestone today.

Tired of constant changes to school assignments. Do not play with kids future and their after school activities/ growth by sending them to far away schools thus limiting available discretionary time for kids post school hours. So, please keep Mills Park middle school for Breckenridge community as is.
Please consider Mills Park Middle School for Morrisville residents. It does not make sense to send our children to West Cary when Mills Park Middle School is only a few miles from the High School that they are assigned to. Why send us in opposite directions?
Please keep Mills Park Middle School for the Breckenridge neighborhood. The reason we bought in this area was based on the schools that were assigned and no other reason. Mills Park was the soul purpose of moving here.
Our daughter is currently attending Mills Park & is thriving. We do not have any interest in West Cary & really hope Mills Park remains the designated school for Breckinridge.
We don't want to be shuffling between school choices. When the Mills park school is opened they took our kids from west cary and now they are refusing us. This is not acceptable. Our subdivision is going through this with elementary middle and High. We would like to have stability. same thing happened with Cedarfork.

Our kids put in a lot of effort and take pride in being MPMS students. Moving our kids to West cary is a disruptive decision that will de-motivate them and cause a serious setback to their academic performance.
