this transfer shouldw happen. its not what the donation of land was ment for. Just allow the Bay Shore kids to use it!! problem solved!!

I grew up in the fine town of Sebewaing, and my family enjoyed the great outdoors to the fullest extent in this area. I would be disappointed to think that the people in power of the state government at this time, would abuse this generous donation of property for the residents of Michigan to use. To those is power now, please think carefully and wisely on this issue. Think how your wishes might be abused in the future if you set this disastrous precedent of selling/trading this property.

bay shores intentions are NOT what they're trying to get people to believe .. ever try to access the bay from bay shore ? that should be enough to open peoples eyes are trying to get people to believe

This piese of state land is used by many local residents and by people like myself who grew up in sebewaing and still hunt and fish there on a regular basis all year round.This property is the way outdoorsmen like it- quiet and overgrown like good game habitat should be.Its a great resource for those who do not have private land to use for outdoor activities like deer hunting and small game hunting and a way to access the lake for ice fishing and duck hunting.Bay Shore camp does not need this land .they are just trying to keep others off it and this is their way of accomplishing what they want regardless of what the town residents want.They are now using a threat of getting outside contractors to do the work needed in their camp if they dont get what they want-- thats funny coming from a camp that is all about right ,wrong , religion and supporting and helping their community.I say let them hire who they want and watch the support from local residents and from local business's vanish, then they will see where their scare tactics get them.They want total control of that end of the quiet little town -DON'T LET THEM HAVE CONTROL OF WHAT IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR GOVERNMENT THESE DAYS-they don't care or don't take into consideration the average working people who built and established the great things around us,it is all about the big guy - those with the most money and the most bullshit to get what they wanthonestly or not!

Leave the Whitlock grant to Sebewaing alone. To transfer it under any pretext violates a sacred trust. Furthermore, to transfer it away from Sebewaing sets a terrible precedent actually undermining donor confidence in the security of future grants not only in Sebewaing but statewide. To proceed with the transfer is foolish and extremely short-sighted.
