bay Shore does good things, several years ago my daughter went there and accidentally drowned 8 days later but what she learned there was very abovious, but they don't need our land.

I am sure if more people find out that property that was designated for certain purposes, or whatever in their wills, is not being taken care of or acted upon as they intended, there will definitely be fewer people leaving things in their wills, to organizations, cities, etc. as we obviously can not depend on others to keep it for its intended use, just because some time has passed by. I definitely do not believe this property should be sold, traded, or whatever, to Bay Shore. I am a former Sebewaing resident, who grew up going to Bay Shore Park, and I still loved to drive down behind the cottage that my family owned , and always did this in my 'Sebewaing tour', but now, there are No Trespassing and Do Not Enter signs, so I am not able to do this. I understand some things change, but let's keep property that was 'for the people' the same, and not allow it to be just for SOME people!

Thelma Whitlock was my Dad's aunt. The intent of this memorial was so,the people of Michigan could use and enjoy the states natural resources. This land swap should not be allowed to go thru.

Thelma Whitlock's wishes should continue to be honored. This appears to me to be not so much of a land exchange as a land grab. Let's just call it what it is. And remember what it was: a gift to the people of Sebewaing and Michigan.
